Mixy Events & Consulting (formally LiveTV Events) is a premier event planning company dedicated to creating unique and memorable experiences. Founded by TaVanni Singleton, who has over 20 years of experience in administration, event planning, marketing, and management, Mixy Events brings a diverse range of expertise to every project.

In 2019, TaVanni founded the social event company Mixy Events, originally named LiveTV Events, inspired by her popular nickname, TV, during her time in China. The company has recently been rebranded to reflect the mixy nature of the events it hosts and the fun flair brought to each gathering. At Mixy Events, creativity flourishes with a wide range of social events from DIY workshops and themed film screenings to collaborations with other event producers, organizations and individuals.

TaVanni’s journey in event planning began in community health, where she honed her skills as a student at the University of Minnesota. She served as the president of UMD’s Black Student Organization, managing large-scale events and advocating for students. Her early work in community health emphasized the importance of education and behavior change through program planning using marketing and psychological techniques.

Her professional journey took her to Bangkok, Thailand, where she hosted popular parties, sessions, and worked at the Wonderfruit Music Festival. She then relocated to Shanghai, China, where she spent five years perfecting the art of gathering. As the Communications Director of Shanghai Black Fashion Week, she developed skills in public relations, social media marketing, website design, media/press, copywriting, and more.

Despite the COVID pandemic temporarily halting growth, TaVanni’s passion for organizing and bringing people together led her to restart and rebrand in the USA. Here at home in Minnesota, Mixy has supported organizations like MN STEM Partnership, SPringboard for the Arts and the Rondo Block Party.

Since the world has reopened, TaVanni has introduced new annual traditions in Minnesota, such as the Earth Day Clothing Swap and the Twin Cities favorite, the Couples Massage Workshop. Always striving to bring something fresh, unique, and fun to the masses, TaVanni and Mixy Events continue to connect people through one-of-a-kind gatherings.
